The Retool Kit Pathway is a coach-led process designed to mobilize churches for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. Authored by Ray Swatkowski and Gary Harrison, the Pathway guides leadership teams of local churches along a path for Renewing Leaders, Renewing Community and Refocusing Vision to reproduce disciples, leaders and congregations.
For the past couple of years leaders of the Rengo, our partner association of churches in Japan, have spearheaded the process of translating and contextualizing the Retool Kit Pathway for use in Japanese churches. Lead by Pastor Makoto Fukui, pastor of Tamagawa Christian Church and director of the Japan Baptist Church Association, a team of translators have been faithfully working through the materials and have finalized the translation of all the PowerPoints and both Leadership Team Workbooks 1 and 2. Together with other Rengo leaders, pastors of Japanese language churches here in the United States, and Ken Milhous, it has been a team effort involving 2 major summits over the last 2 years here in the US to lay the ground work for this trip.
